We recently added a new dental suite to our office. The work required concrete floor and wall demolition, new electrical and plumbing, and coordination with our equipment supplier. Patrick McCarthy construction worked around our schedule to minimize the noise and disruption during patient hours. They were extremely clean and organized during the whole process. In particular, they were able to control the dust from significant concrete trenching. The finish work after moving a door and interior window is seamless. Their cost estimates were accurate and their dental construction experience was invaluable. Patrick and Shane were professional and responsive and their crew was polite and skilled. In construction (particularly remodeling) it can be difficult to set and meet expectations. I can honestly say that Patrick McCarthy Construction exceeded mine.

Meet The Team

Patrick McCarthy

General Contractor

Since he grew up in a construction family, Patrick (right) has been a builder for over 30 years. He worked in cabinetry, furniture, and carpentry, before becoming a general contractor in 2006. Patrick has extensive experience with residential and commercial construction, historic restorations, and water damage, and has the skills to take on any project.

Helen McCarthy

Administrative Manager

Helen (center) has come a long way since age eleven, when she was sweeping the carpenter’s shop below her apartment. Since then, she has spent time as a kitchen and bath designer, and has 11 years of experience in construction administration.

Shane McCarthy

Project Manager

Shane's construction career started at age 12, when the McCarthy family was renovating their house and Shane (left) tore down a wall with a sledgehammer. Since then, he has gained years of construction experience, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from NC State University.
