This house in Laurel park was built in 1906. When new owners wanted to expand their space, they called us to build an addition and patio. Additions on historic buildings can stick out like a sore thumb if they aren't done right, but this one fits right in. The design paid homage to the building's history by including reclaimed heart pine flooring, a beadboard ceiling, and a siding accent to match the cedar shakes of the original house.
